Kate arrived for her Immunity Pin Challenge and was told she would be facing pastry chef extraordinaire Darren Purchese. He revealed the Challenge dish to be a banana, caramel and rum dessert with 13 stages to its preparation. Kate had a 30-minute head start, and looked strong throughout most of the Challenge. Purchese wasn't to be denied, however, scoring higher across the board, with the heavy base to Kate's dessert losing her precious marks. The judges rated Kate's overall dish highly though, with Gary even getting down on his knees and acknowleging her efforts with a bow.
